This Warehouse XI Somerville Wedding was something I dreamed up a few years back when I was inspired by minimalism and foraged florals. I worked with planner, Kelly Golia Events on this elopement editorial. Showcasing the elegance of simplicity in each of the scenes and in the table design, it illustrates how effective your design can be with a few well selected pieces and also how, with stunning florals like these, by Sweet Annie Floral Design, the impact goes a long way. The black wired dining chairs brought in a modern touch, while the rest of the shoot was very natural and organic. The color scheme was pops of light pink with different shades of fall throughout the foliage.
This year for the wedding industry has been a shock, forcing couples to decide whether or not they will downsize their wedding by having an elopement, or postpone their big party to the following year. Elopements are on trend right now and so I am so excited to share some inspiration for what a small affair can look like. I am hoping that one of the silver linings of this pandemic is that we reconsider what is really important on a wedding day: making a commitment to the one you love and celebrating with your closest friends and family. There is nothing wrong with big guest lists, but elopements can also be just as enjoyable and meaningful. Check out another one of my styled editorial shoots HERE.
