Elaine and Sam’s Shady Lane Farm Wedding was the most romantic day in June. There is something so intimate about farm weddings in Maine and this day was no different. The vintage touches, family heirlooms, and Elaine’s dress itself felt like a page right out of a Jane Austen novel. The two of them are an upbeat, kind, and totally lovable couple. They have been together for quite some time through the ups and the downs and you can see this depth in the connection they have with each other.
Elaine and Sam met at theatre in college, which was exactly the same way her parents met as well. Sam was new to the stage, but ended up as the lead for a musical where Elaine played his love interest. They flirted for quite some time in the typical high school way before making things official. They say that opposites attract and this seems true for Elaine and Sam. Where Sam is even keeled and goofy, Elaine can be more emotional and serious. Sam keeps her from taking herself too seriously.
The entire day was filled with personal details and so much emotion. Being in theatre, singing and dancing were so important throughout the reception. Elaine and Sam choreographed their first dance to “It Had To Be You” and she even wrote and sang the song she danced to with her father. There wasn’t a dry eye in the reception, especially not her father’s, as the tears flowed their entire dance together. This Shady Lane Farm Wedding had my heart from the beginning. So excited for Elaine and Sam, congratulations you two!
