This Misselwood wedding had everything you would want, from a gorgeous estate, to the coastal backdrop, to a breathtaking couple inside and out. I am so lucky to have witnessed and captured this couples day. Sometimes it’s just easy with certain people, and that’s exactly how I felt with these two. Kate and Josh are the perfect “opposites attract couple” and I can’t wait to share their day with you.

Kate and Josh met at Endicottt College five years ago and knew that is exactly where they wanted to “tie the knot” when the time came. And that is exactly what they did during their ceremony overlooking the ocean. One saying the officiant said was what a good job Kate and Josh have done to not only find someone to love, but to stay with that person. That resonated so deeply within me. It is clear that these two have made the decision to choose and support each other time after time. They have been through a lot together. There were many tears and loving words as they remembered some of their loved ones who had passed during their ceremony.

Kate is gentle, laid back, kind and level headed. I could sense that she is a rock when those around her are in need. I loved seeing Kate as she watched and admired Josh from afar. Josh is the life of the party, always wearing his heart on his sleeve and taking care of others. Just look at his “first look” moment as Kate walks down the aisle! These two were made for each other.

A Misselwood wedding is one I have been dreaming about for some time. The vows said on the lawn of the estate overlooking the ocean, the beautiful courtyard where cocktail hour is held during sunset, the rocky cliffs where portraits are shot, everything about this venue is gold. Kate and Josh even had a blood moon at the end of the night! It was also my birthday, so I feel as though the starts aligned. 😉

My favorite thing about Kate and Josh is they know what life is about – their love for each other, and their family and friends. This is the most important thing to them and helps you realize what weddings are all about. Not the glitz and glamour, but true love. Congratulations you two, you deserve the world and I know your going to have an adventurous and loving marriage! Thank you for the best birthday gift of choosing me for your day.
