A few weeks ago Kendra Engel (dynamic duo!) and I were itching to play around with some more film we had, so we planned the perfect Boston shipyard engagement shoot. A little brainstorming and we came up with the idea to go to the Boston Shipyard! This was my first time there and it did not disappoint. We decided to put some feelers out to see who would be interested in being our couple for the evening. Alexa and Nicola were the first to reach out to us and immediately we said YES!
Alexa and Nicola are the perfect definition of romance. They were so gentle and loving with each other the whole session. Everything felt so natural with them. Alexa is an incredible floral designer herself, and owns Alexa Gallishaw Florals. They got engaged this past Winter and were so excited to be able to shoot with us! Nicola is from Italy and they both have planned to have their wedding there with friends and family next year.
This Boston shipyard engagement session ended up being the perfect dream for me because I have also always wanted to shoot at a marina with boats surrounding before. The light fell perfectly and there was just the right amount of breeze on the pier. I had never seen this view of the Boston skyline before and it was the cherry on top of everything. Kendra and I ended up getting dinner afterwards at Pier 6 Boston Waterfront and it was the perfect cap to the night!
I am in love with any kind of photo session with coastal water! See another harbor shoot from Maine that is similar to this Boston shipyard engagement shoot – HERE. Congratulations Alexa and Nicola on your engagement, and I cannot wait to see your wedding photos!
